Can a realtor be on council?


Only owners can be on council. Some bylaws do allow spouses of owners or tenants to sit on council. Your corporation bylaws will explain council member restrictions.

However, if an owner happens to be a realtor, or a lawyer or a journalist that owner can be on council.Profession is not a limitation for owners with a desire to serve on council. A realtor representing an owner cannot be on council.
